Tiny Space
02:52
|
|||
My heart is an open book
And if you just look
There's a teeny tiny space for you
I was watching the sun go down
And then you came round
And you put your shadow into it
I won't disappear when you come calling
You can ask my neighbours
Oh don't bring those tears,
I'm all ears
But I ran out of Kleenex
You can put my back up against the wall
It's all I have to hide, don't make those eyes at me
Yeh, you can put my back up against the wall
It's all I have so don't you make those eyes at me
I was looking to make some fun
And when summer comes
I'll wear those little reds for you
Crystal flutes and in my new boots
I'll feel brand new
And shake up a thing or two
Oh I'll disappear and with people talking
Nosy little neighbours
I've got big ideas, cactus ears
A spiky little protest
You can put my back up against the wall
It's all I have to hide, don't make those eyes at me
Yeh, you can put my back up against the wall
It's all I have so don't you make those eyes at me

Just Stay
03:44
|
|||
Just stay, don’t try to take it all away from me
And play, another memory on the TV
Don’t go away. You know I hate it when you pack your things
For holidays, you know you never ever bring me anything
If we’re both free tonight, candles are only halfway through
Don’t make me smile upside down
The apricot sorbet was just for you
Unzip it as you’re trippin’ up the corridor and out the window
We were havin’ an excellent time
Clear you calendar, fix me a week where you’ll just be mine
Shhhh, you know I struggle in a crowded street
With an electric car, I got the model from the magazines
I’m on my tiptoes, I’m in a disco and I’m makin’ moves
And don’t you worry, I asked your mother can I take her shoes
If we’re both free tonight, candles are only halfway through
Don’t make me smile upside down
The apricot sorbet was just for you
Unzip it as you’re trippin’ up the corridor and out the window
We were havin’ an excellent time
Clear you calendar, fix me a week where you’ll just be mine

Isn't It Nice
04:57
|

Isn't it nice, when you're beautiful.
And isn't it fun, when you're an animal.
Choosing shorts for Nice to Rome.
And surf adventures on your own, but not alone.
Look to me, for my sweet song.
Dressin' up in our long johns.
Curled up under a fir tree.
Tell your stories to me.
Chinatown Dunaway and her perfect flaw.
But under the carpet was a cannon ball.
Place your posters on the wall.
Rollin' quotes off all night long.
Look to me, for my sweet song.
Dressin' up in our long johns.
Curled up under a fir tree.
Tell your stories to me.
The joy of end of term and the holy grail of the Welsh Gower.
The simple pleasure of a chocolate bar and reading the paper on a Sunday afternoon.
Josh Tillman's thoughts on malaprops and Kurt Wagner's Grandpa coughin' in the kitchen.
A pinot noir with Israel's finest and festivals in Victoria Park.
Of cycle trips and study tours and visits to Totnes.
The paradise of Mothecombe and the Daymark.
Of a rich vocabulary and insightful thoughts and the ability to make everyone feel so good and easy.
Of paint strokes on canvas and anecdotes so timeless.
And LCD Soundsystem's idea that 'love is an astronaut, it comes back, but it's never the same'.

Daydream
04:48
|
|||
This is the good life in the country
Looking for driftwood at the local beach
And we take our time when we look for shells
And we take our time to relax ourselves
As I open my grade two listed sash timber window
The sound of the street doesn’t get much louder particularly
On account of the single glazed, twelve pane panel TV street scene
I can feel an air gap even when the window’s closed
Between the frame and the lathe and plaster biscuit wall construction
I look left and I look right and the seagulls looks straight back at me
It’s their town now and they own the sound, the day, the night
And I’ve been sleeping so much recently
I remember walking up to the brewery to buy tickets for a show
And Josh Christie was there like some kind of timeless bronze statue
Even though he doesn’t live here any more
And we take our time when we look for shells
Waiting for the tide to turn
And we take our time to relax ourselves
I’ll stay in bed and thinking of the things you said
It’s in my head, forever in a daydream
And we take our time when we look for shells
And we take our time to relax ourselves
And we take our time when we look for shells
Waiting for the tide to turn
And we take our time to relax ourselves
I’ll stay in bed and thinking of the things you said
It’s in my head, forever in a daydream
I’ll stay in bed and thinking of the things you said
It’s in my head, forever in a daydream
